ABOUT US

WHAT IS MR. WILDE? 

MR. WILDE is the latest concept from cult restaurant favourite WALTER AND MONTY. We're passionate about good food and believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a meal the way it is supposed to be eaten. Steaks should be juicy, chicken should be tender, salmon should melt in your mouth. But we know cooking isn't foolproof and often when cooking under pressure things can go awry. And that's where MR. WILDE comes in. From the main event (top quality meat, fish or veg) through to our delicious sides and sauces, your meal has been prepped and cooked by our top chefs, leaving you to simply finish the job in the pan, oven, under the grill or on the BBQ. And that's it. No waste, no fuss, no mess.

HOW DO I ORDER? 

Order your mains, sides and sauces via the website. N.B. some items are photographed with garnish, sides and salads, these are not included unless stated. Many of the sides photographed are available to order separately under the sides section.


ALL YOUR COOKING TEMPERATURES ARE IN CELSIUS. WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE FOR GAS AND FAHRENHEIT?

To allow you to cook multiple items at the same time we have made sure that all items are cooked in the oven at the same temperature : 220.C / 425.F / Gas Mark 7


ARE THE WEIGHTS LISTED ON YOUR ITEMS RAW/COOKED?

All weights that are listed on the items are raw. Please note that these may vary once cooked.



SUPPLIERS

WHO ARE YOUR SUPPLIERS?

We have a long-standing partnership with a master butcher, based in Smithfield Market (one of the last remaining produce markets in London). Founded over fifty years ago, we are proud to work with one of the oldest premier butchers in the capital city. Our vegetables are sourced from a variety of high quality home-grown suppliers, including New Covent Garden Market, less than 2 miles away from our kitchen.



PRICES + PAYMENTS

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ON AVERAGE?

It totally depends on the items you have picked for your menu! On average around £15 per head.


WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

All major credit cards, including American Express, and Paypal. 



DELIVERY

WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT MY DELIVERY?

We cook to order so everything is super fresh. Delivery slots are between 4-6 days from the date you place your order (or future date). At checkout you will be able to see our availability and select your preferred date for delivery. Refer to thisguide if you do not know when to order.


CAN I REQUEST A SPECIFIC TIME SLOT TO RECEIVE MY DELIVERY?

Orders can be placed up to a year in advance, so no excuses for last minute rushing if you are hosting for guests!

On the morning of your delivery, our delivery partner will notify you with a 1 hour time slot. If you are not going to be at home, then please leave instructions for the driver to deliver to a neighbour (or a safe place where the items are kept chilled). Due to the fact that we will be delivering fresh food, unfortunately you will not be able to reschedule your delivery to a later date, as our packaging only stays refrigerated for a certain amount of time.


HOW ARE THE ITEMS SENT?

They are sent via our delivery partners DPD, with food grade ice packs which guarantees the food will be kept at the correct temperature while in transit.


I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY FULL ORDER?

With larger orders we may it out in more than one box. On occasions the consignment may be split by our carrier and the boxes may be delivered separately on the same day. Please check the barcode sticker on the back of the box that you receive, listed there will be the total number of boxes in your consignment. If for some reason you are only supposed to receive one box and items are missing please get in contact with us straight away.


DO YOU DELIVER NATIONWIDE?

We delivery anywhere within mainland UK.


WHAT IS THE USE BY DATE?

The use by date will be clearly labelled on all items. We aim to give you at least 3 days from the day it arrives with you, however most items will have 5 days. If you are planing a meal some time in the future please bear the use by date in mind. Our website will allow you to purchase anywhere up to a year into the future so you don't have to panic last minute. Our food has a generous use by date, so although we do not deliver 7 days a week, you're still able to enjoy MR. WILDE every day of the week.


CAN I FREEZE ON ARRIVAL?

We do not recommend freezing MR. WILDE food and cannot guarantee the quality if you do.


WHAT SHALL I DO WHEN I RECEIVE MY DELIVERY?

1. Unpack the whole box.

2. Make sure that the refrigerated items within the silver envelope are cold to touch. It should feel like the ingredients have just come out of the fridge (if they're not cold, then please get in contact immediately and do not serve!). 

3. Place all food items and sauces into the fridge. Keep all cooking instructions and the folded brown greaseproof paper, as you will need this for your cook. You can discard the ice packs or refreeze them if you wish to use again in the future.



DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

HOW DOES MR. WILDE HANDLE FOOD THAT CONTAINS ALLERGENS?

The packaging on our products lists any allergens and most ingredients. These can also be found on the product pages on our website.


N.B. Although we try our best to ensure that there is no cross contamination within our kitchen, some of our suppliers use these allergens in their kitchens. Therefore we cannot guarantee that some of the items supplied for us are totally allergen free.



FOOD STORAGE

HOW SHOULD I HANDLE AND STORE INGREDIENTS? 

This information is listed underneath the section which asks what to do when receiving your delivery.


CAN ANY LEFTOVERS BE EATEN THE NEXT DAY? 

We recommend that you only cook your food once and do not reheat any left overs. If you wish to reduce your portion / serving size, then we advise that you split up the ingredients prior to cooking, according to your requirements. Wrap up any remaining food tightly and refrigerate. Please be mindful of the use by date listed on each of the items.

I WANT TO AMEND SOMETHING ON MY ORDER. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET IN TOUCH?

Our team begin processing your order as soon as you've paid at checkout, so amendments are not always guaranteed. However if you would like to make an amendment, then please get in touch straight away. We will do our best to accommodate where possible. Our contact details can be found here



FOOD PREP

DOES THE FOOD NEED WASHING BEFORE THE COOKING PROCESS BEGINS? 

No all the preparation has been done for you. All you need to do is follow the instructions to heat.


WILL COOKING INSTRUCTIONS BE PROVIDED FOR THE PRODUCTS ORDERED?

Yes. Each order will have its own set of cooking instructions which are included with your delivery, or a cook-a-long video is attached in the product description. It is important that you familiarise yourself with these instructions before you start cooking. N.B. Some items need to 'pre-rest' ahead of cooking. If this applies, then you will need to remove these ingredients from the fridge to bring them to the correct temperature.


WHAT SIZE IS RECOMMENDED TO SERVE A COUPLE VS. A FAMILY?  

Items on our site are listed by serving size, usually for 2 people. Our portions are generous if we do say so ourselves. The ordering process is very simple, if you're a couple choose from the quantity selector then larger parties would need 2+.



PACKAGING

WHAT CAN I DO WITH THE PACKAGING AFTER? 

All paper products and vacuum bags are recyclable. The cooling products (ice cubes) and the jars and tins are re-usable. The ice packs are reusable, pop them back in the freezer they might come in handy keeping things cool (summer picnic anyone?!)
